The Florida Conference UCC celebrates our covenantal relationship with our local churches and ministries and is happy to provide the following grants for continued transformational ministry
Church Redevelopment and Vitality Grant
From Congregations Who Have Completed Their Ministry
- For redefining the ministry of a local church for renewal and revitalization
- For innovative and creative new ministries in a local church
- For projects that will redevelop a local church’s ministry in the form of a strategic plan, a new vision and missions, and a new direction for vitality, etc.
Scholarship Grants for Lifelong Learning and Continuing Education
From Charles D Wilson Fund and Ward Family Fund- For students in college or seminary preparing for ministry
- For lifelong learning and continuing education for pastors
- For lifelong learning and professional development for professional church staff
Scholarship Grants for Youth and Children
From Naar Memorial Fund and Roger G Wells Fund
- For underprivileged young people from UCC churches in FL to attend camps and conferences
- For formative Christian learning and recreational experiences for children and youth of any denomination in settings beyond the local church
Justice Advocacy Grants
From the People Empowerment Fund
- For justice advocacy ministry, such as ministries that influence systemic change toward justice for all
- For justice advocacy ministries in our local churches who build connections beyond the church walls to the wider community to change lives
Creating Multi-Faith Community Ministries
From Jackson Interfaith Fund
- For creating multi-faith community ministries and programs within the Conference, including
- Utilizing arts and music, rituals and liturgies and speakers from various faith communities
New Church Starts Grants
From The Charles L. Burns Fund
- For loans to be used for new church starts seeking land purchases and churches securing premises to enable their growth.
- The local churches that apply must be current on their giving to conferences per capita and OCWM.
The Florida Conference United Church of Christ is a community of congregations around Florida that partner in covenant to engage in the ministry of Jesus Christ to be the Church in the 21st century. In the power of the Holy Spirit, the congregations of the Florida Conference UCC join together to be a prophetic voice of the Good News of God’s love for all and to work for peace and justice for all.
